This week has been great!! We had a baptism and we have witnessed many miracles! So let’s talk about it.
First off, Gary and Kristie got baptized! I will upload a picture. They are great! They invited some family and friends and we contacted their old bishop in Ririe and he came to support them as well. Their fellowshipper and neighbor, Brother Inskeep did the baptizing and Elder Kolb and Their Son in Law were the witnesses. And guess who made a surprise appearance??? President and Sister Brinkerhoff. We have no idea why but we were pleasantly surprised when they showed up. Plus a little nervous. The baptism went great. We gave a talk on the Restoration of the Gospel and Elder Nielson came down from Shelley and gave a talk on Baptism. The following day they gave us a little panic attack when they came to church RIGHT before the announcement that they were to be confirmed! Gary was confirmed by the First Counselor in the 11th ward and Kristie asked me to confirm her. They are doing great. I don't know if I had mentioned this but yesterday was their Anniversary! So they were baptized and confirmed on their Anniversary weekend. Their goal now is to prepare for the Temple so they can be sealed next year on their Anniversary! We love these guys so much!
This week we took Blade to do some service with us so he can get off probation. We helped another investigator, Brother Sutton, rebuild a barb wire fence in one of his pastures. Not a good idea without gloves. Elder Kolb got a little cut up. Blade is doing really well though. He has great friends in the ward that help him and invite him to activities like mutual. He's a great kid. We are meeting with him today.
We visited with Storm yesterday. This week we asked her if she felt like she was ready for Baptism. She said she knows she is ready but the only hold up is her mom. Her mom doesn't like the Church very much so she is making it hard for Storm. We know that Storm is ready, she is in Seminary, She goes to church every Sunday, She is living all the commandments. She is awesome! She is preparing for baptism on May 10. She would love to get baptized before that if her mom will let her. Please pray for Storm to have patience and that her mom will have a soft heart.
Alyssa and Alora are doing well. They spent part of Spring Break at home and then the other part at their dad's in Boise. We went over this week and read the Book of Mormon with them and talked about real intent. Really being willing to act on the answer they receive when they pray. They are really great girls.
Sam and Andrea Gallegos are doing great too! They came to Church with their daughter, Nonie. We are visiting them and helping Sam get the Priesthood so he can baptize his daughter.
Today we are going up to Idaho Falls to do some shopping that can't be done here. So that should be fun going through my old stomping grounds! I'm excited.
Also! Happy Birthday to my Grammie! I love you and I hope you have a good birthday!
Well I love you guys and I hope all is going well. It’s weird to think I’ve been out 15 months! CRAZY!
