Well this past week is a milestone for me in my
mission. Yes, last week I hit my one year mark for being a missionary. How
crazy!!!! It doesn't seem like it’s been a year! I still feel like a new
missionary! The only difference is I've gotten better and faking it ;) hahah
Just kidding I do feel like I've grown a lot in my mission and I have many
people to thank for it! All the many people that have helped and supported me.
Both spiritually and also financially. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa and Nanny
and Papa and Aunt Sharon and Uncle Dale, and Mom and Dad for allowing me to be out here. Also
I'd like to thank my Mom and Dad for writing and encouraging me through some
rough patches in my mission. Well let’s update you folks on what happened this
past week.
Well on Monday we had a normal P-day. We played sports
and ran around and worked up a sweat.
Then on Tuesday we had our District Meeting which is
always a lot of fun. At least I try and make it that way. I've come to find out
I don't like boring meetings! Haha So I try and add some humor to liven things
up! Then afterwards we went to Arby's to eat with the District. It's always fun
to hang out with other missionaries.
On Wednesday to celebrate and mourn the passing of a
year for me and also Sister Barnett, who came out with me and is serving in the
other half of our stake, We had a district lunch and played guitars and laughed
and just relaxed for a little bit. I uploaded some pictures from that! It was a
lot of fun :)
Thursday we had did our Planning for the week.
Planning on how to help our investigators and what we would teach them and
what-not. We met with a new Investigator, his name is Paul and he has been
coming to Church for the past year! It was a great lesson and we are meeting
with him again this week.
Friday we met with Gary and Krystie and gave them a
blessing to help Krystie during her surgery. , which is tomorrow. We got in
touch with a bishop in Boise and he is going to check up on them so they have
some support there. Please pray for them that everything goes well.
We also met with Sierra on Monday. We talked about the
Plan of Salvation and she understood it! She had some fears about death and she
said she wasn't as scared now because of the lesson. She is amazing and we can
see the Spirit working on her every time we are over.
We are also meeting with Wes tonight. We are trying to
help him understand that baptism will give him so many blessings but he just
wants to hold off until his family is OK with it. We know he will one day get
baptized we just hope it can be soon.
One of our wards is doing a play of Mulan. We've been
invited to help out. Some non- members are going to be there and some are even
participating so it'll be a good opportunity to fellowship and have fun!
Well that is all I have! I love you guys and hope all
is going well.
Love,
Elder Rash
