Week 51: Solid Missionaries

Hey Family and Friends!

How was everybody's Holidays??? Well since I can't hear your response I’m going to assume it was great! My holidays were great too! I got to Skype my family which I’m sure my mother has already put on Facebook. I had the opportunity to hang out with some good missionary buddies and just relax and have a good time! WE even got to watch some Movies! We watched Despicable me 2, and the Croods. Also Ephraim’s Rescue. Really good movies!
Well let's see if I can update you on some of the work that is going on in Blackfoot...
Gary and Krystie are still doing well. Gary has been working a lot over the Holidays so it's been hard to meet with them. But Krystie came to church yesterday. She is preparing for Neck surgery here in 2 weeks. We are praying for her and trying to help as much as we can. Gary and Krystie's daughter came to church with them too. So maybe we will be able to teach the whole family here soon.
Wes is doing great too! He comes to church every week! We have a meeting with him tonight with some members for Family Home Evening. We are going to talk about the importance of baptism and the Book of Mormon. We can see his testimony building every time we see him.
A new goal that we've had in our Zone is to invite someone to be baptized every day. It's super scary at first but now that we've been doing it every day it’s opened up so many opportunities for us to teach and meet new people. Even if people say no we ask if we could come and talk more about it and they usually say yes.
We also now have sister's serving in our stake and we have seen a change in the stake leadership now that we have sisters. I think the stake was getting tired of all the change in Elders. And this week I was talking to President Brinkerhoff and he said that now that we have solid missionaries in the Stake that we would be staying here a while. So looks like I’m staying here for a while. :)
Well I hope everyone is getting back into the swing of things with the New Year. This year has flown by and I’m almost on the downhill part. It's weird and I don't like to think about it. But it is the Circle of Life. I love you guys and hope all is well. Today we are going to have a Jam session with all the guitars and instruments in the zone! So I’m excited! I'll let you know how it goes!
Love,
Elder Rash
