Week 24: Missionary Work is Hard Work

Dear Family and Friends,

How is everyone doing??? Doing well I hope! This week has been super busy and HOT!!!! Well.... hot to Idaho standards. All you down there don't think 100 is hot when you are suffering with 120 but it is still pretty hot. Well I am SUPER tired today. Today for Pday we had a BBQ birthday party for a sister missionary in my District. Which is a great idea.... if it wasn't 100 degrees out, and my companion and I didn't have to do all the work... Maybe I’m a tad bit cynical. It did go well and everyone had a good time so it was good. I'm a little Sun Zapped at the moment though so I apologize if this is a short email.
So this week Elder Porter and I have been busting our butts in the hot sun to try and meet as many people as possible. Good news is we are working hard and trying our best AND I have a killer tan, bad news, everyone has been hibernating inside so not much success on that front. But we are doing our best and the Lord will take care of the rest.
This week one of our investigators got married!!! Her name is Addie and she is crazy awesome!!! She is a fireball of energy and it’s so much fun to go over and teach her and her husband who is a less active member. She has really good questions that we answer and she understands. She was talking about her friend who just died in a parachuting accident, and that friend’s mother who had died in a car accident.... If you are family and this sounds familiar, it's because it is. Addie is good friends with my extended family. It’s a crazy small world. She had really good questions about Heaven because of this and we had a really good lesson with her. She and her husband are really cool and fun to teach.
This week is going to be a really good one! Because of July 4th the missionaries in the IPM get an All Day P Day on July 4th!!!! It’s going to be my first!!!! I'm really excited! Well everyone I am EXHAUSTED! I hope everything is going well. I pray for you all and love you guys!
Love Elder Rash
To Family...
I found a cool new feature on LDS. org were you can order Patriarchal blessings of deceased relatives!!! I didn't know if you knew! But you go to the Patriarchal blessing section and then it gives you two options your patriarchal blessing or a deseased relatives blessing. It’s pretty cool. I ordered one for Levi Hammon and Great Grandpa Davis. But they sent me an email saying they couldn't find his. So maybe he never got one. But still pretty cool...
