Week 70: Wearing Out Shoes In Blackfoot

Dear Friends and Family,

This week has been great! We met with a lot of our investigators and had many opportunities to teach.

Before I begin. It is with sadness that I must tell everyone... The Camel has decided to leave me... He has had his last adventure in Blackfoot, Idaho and is now going to continue his adventures elsewhere in the world. He went to see the biggest potato in the world before heading on his adventures eastwards. He will be dearly missed.

This week we were challenged by our Zone Leaders to teach as many Member Present lessons as possible so we can meet our Zone Goal. So we went to work. We called member and ward missionaries to see who was available to come out with us. We were able to book most of our nights with members coming out with us. It was awesome! So we taught a lot of people just brief lessons and then came back later in the week to teach them again.

Aubree is getting baptized this Saturday at 11 o’clock! Her Dad got the Melchizedek Priesthood yesterday so he can baptize and confirm her! That family has taken leaps and bounds towards the gospel since I first met them!

Gary and Kristie had to rush back to Boise yesterday after a MRI that Kristie had showed some problems. Please pray for them. It's just been one thing after another with them since they were baptized.

Paul: Paul is doing great! We visited with him this week and he is preparing to receive the Priesthood. We taught him a lesson and then he mentioned some magic words... He said that he had been cleaning his GUNS earlier so he had gun oil on him. Immediately he and I started talking about guns :) Good times.

Alyssa and Alora are doing well. Their brother isn't doing so well. He has been put back in the hospital for a little while. They hope to get his numbers back to where they need to be.

Conner is doing great as well. The whole family has been coming to church and working towards his baptism. This past week he gave me some Pokémon cards. I think this means he likes us.

So all in all things are going great here in Blackfoot. We are always trying to look for more people to teach and baptize. If any of you know people in Blackfoot who aren't members or who know non members let us know!

Love
Elder Rash

New Ones and Old Ones
(It was with much prying that we finally got Caleb to admit his shoes were worn out. He in turn also had holes in his socks. We insisted as soon as we learned of this that he go and get new shoes. For once he listened to us)

The Camel will be returning to AZ prior to taking another very long journey. Stay tuned for some new adventures in a new land.
