Week 67: "I Love Being a Missionary"

Dear Family and Friends,

This week was great! :)

This past Monday we went to Idaho Falls and spent time with the Hammons! :) I love that family. They, of course, made delicious food for us and we played some basketball with the kids. We are also going to IF today as well. I'm not sure how much time we'll have up there but we'll see.

This week.... PAUL WAS BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOO HOOO! :) It was such a whirlwind month. We asked him to be baptized on April 5, and he was baptized April 26 and confirmed April 27. His baptism was so awesome! His girlfriend, Tessa, spoke as well as the man who invited him to have lessons. Paul, who is a former Marine, broke down and cried and thanked us and everyone for coming. He even came up afterwards and gave us hugs! It was such an amazing experience. Satan definitely didn't want it to happen; I know this because of the events that happened prior to the baptism. So the baptism was scheduled for 4 pm. We showed up at 3:30to make sure everything was set and ready and all the lights were off, no chairs had been set up, AND THE FONT HAD NOT BEEN FILLED!!!! I almost had a panic attack! We immediately got on the phone, called the person in charge of filling the font; there had been some confusion between us about when he was supposed to fill it. He came over and started filling the font, WHICH TAKES 2 HOURS TO FILL. We then began calling EVERYONE to let them know that the baptism was going to be moved back to 6. Thankfully no one had any conflicts with this. We then spent the next 2 hours PRAYING that the font would fill quickly. Thankfully it did. And the Baptism went really well. :) Paul is a great guy and is going to get the Priesthood soon and receive a calling.

Storm: We are going to visit her tonight. She still wants to be baptized on the 10th. She has been praying and hoping that her mom can be OK with her decision. She is doing great.

Blade: He still is looking for service. The ward has really helped him, they came up with a list of service he can do and when he can do it. Hopefully he gets off soon.

Alyssa and Alora: They are still doing really well. They went to their Dad's place this weekend so they didn't come to church. We are still trying to help them come.

Madison and Tekerra: We went by and set up an appointment with them for this week. We are worried about them. They haven't been coming to church. They said they would yesterday but never showed up. Hopefully we can help them get back into the groove.

Gary and Kristie: Kristie got back from Boise from her surgery. We haven't stopped by yet to see how she is feeling. We plan on going by later this week.

Jason and Susan: They are a young couple that we've been helping come back to Church. THEY ARE ON FIRE!!! They've been doing everything they need to do. Yesterday Susan got her Patriarchal Blessing. This Saturday we are going to the Temple Visitor Center with them. They are preparing to be sealed in the temple this year. :) We love these guys!

This week was amazing! I love being a missionary! :) Have a great week guys! :)

Love
