This week has been great! We had tons of lessons and
things are going wonderfully! Plus the Holidays are coming up! It's crazy to
think that I’ve almost been out a year! It seems to have flown by! Although my
mom would tell you otherwise. ;)
Last night we taught Gary and Krystie about some of
the commandments. They are so sincere and really want to follow Jesus Christ.
They are really prepared for their baptism! Gary is giving up tobacco and
Krystie said as long as she can drink Pepsi she can give up anything! Haha We
had their lesson over at the Inskeep Family's home. The Inskeeps are an awesome
family!! They are all natural missionaries! We love the Inskeeps!
We also had an appointment with a man named Wes. Wes
is going through some hard times in his life and he has recently been meeting
with us. Last night we talked about how the Church was established and about
Prophets. He really wants to have peace in his life. Last night we invited him
to be baptized and he said yes. We are planning his baptism on January 4th.
We are meeting with Ashten and his family tonight. He
really wants to be baptized and we hope that his family will support him. He is
such a nice kid!
With Thanksgiving coming up we are slowing down on our
appointments just because a lot of people are going out of town. We have quite
a few appointments with members though for the Holidays! There is this one
family, the Turpins. Brother Turpin makes homemade Cheese Cake every Saturday.
No joke this stuff is Cheese Cake Factory quality! And because he is healthy he
only eats a slice then invites the missionaries over to devour the rest! :)
Oh in other news! Our area now has a car! :) We cover
a few wards that go all the way out to the reservation. So we were given a car
to get out there. This car is DEFINATELY a blessing because my body has not
reacted well with the cold weather.
Christmas and New Years are drawing closer. I'm
excited for my first Christmas in the Mission! :) Luckily it hasn't snowed too
much yet. So it hasn't stuck. But it is bitter cold. Yesterday and Saturday in
the mornings it was like 15 degrees outside. :( Not fun. But I can't complain.
I'm doing what the Lord wants me to do!
I love you guys and hope all is going well. :)
Love
