Week 30: Doing Ditch Digging

Hey Everyone!

This week has been super busy!!!! No rest for the weary.
Service….we have been doing tons of it!!! In the past 5 days I have.... Reroofed a house, Mowed lawns, Moved people in and out of homes, and Dug an irrigation ditch (my ancestors would be proud). It's nice to do service plus we get to wear normal clothes for a little while. :) This Irrigation ditch we dug was for a non member! And afterwards we had a spiritual message and prayer. It was so cool!
We have been trying to meet with our investigators but last week was a hard week to get a hold of most of them. We did however have a really good lesson with the Buffat family! They all paid so much attention to the lesson it was great! But towards the end of the week we were having little success. We both were frustrated and decided we needed to blow off some stress. How do two young men decide to do it? No holds barred, bare knuckle, boxing of course!!!! We have a trampoline in our backyard so we decided to just go to town. 4 rounds later, we were winded, bruised, but so relaxed!!!! Best companionship ever!!!!
We have new leadership in the 9th ward. The new ward mission leader is great! We already have 2 new ward missionaries and we had a meeting last night with all of us and the bishop. We got a lot done and it was a great experience. This new WML has already been setting up appointments for us and been going with us! We even got this family reactivated! It’s nice to have member support.
I feel like I'm building relationships that will last my whole life, with members, missionaries, and non members alike. Even if our area isn't as successful as we like we still work hard and build bonds of friendship and trust. I'm so happy to be a missionary! Congrats to everyone who has been getting their calls, Donny Mitchell, Kelsey Stradling, Nate Jarnigan. This is the greatest work we can do. So let’s go to work.

Love,
Elder Caleb Rash

Mistie asked Caleb for a picture and this is what she gets. Boy....Have you learned nothing in your 19 years!!!!! This does not cut it with your mother!!!!!
