Week 21: The Power of the Book of Mormon

Dear Family and Friends,

HELLO from POCATELLO!!!!! More specifically  the Pocatello Central Zone, West
Stake. I cover three wards still, 18th, 9th, and 26th. So far I’ve met the
bishops and some of the members. My companion Elder Porter and I get along
great!!!! We are a lot alike. We quote movies all the time and talk about
life and crack jokes! It’s been a really good past couple of days! We live
with some members, the Thiemann’s (pronounced T-man). We are in a walking
area again, so no driving for me :( We are in a really good area. ALOT of
less active work. We are working VERY hard on getting more investigators.
We have a couple and some that are really solid. One of them, Juan, is
engaged to a less active. My first day in Pocatello we went over and taught
them a lesson. We talked about the Book of Mormon and how it can bless
their relationship. Leslie, the Fiancé struggles with depression. We
promised her that she could overcome her trials through the Book of Mormon.
We went over a couple days later and there was a TOTAL change in her
demeanor. She seemed so much happier and they told us they had read the
Book of Mormon every day since we'd been there. :) It was awesome! Juan
told us that he feels a peace when he reads. We told him that that peace is
the Holy Ghost telling him that what he is reading is true. It was a great
experience! We have done a lot of tracting in this area. As far as the
weather it’s been about 90 for the past couple days. It hasn't been too bad
but my body has definitely not been accustomed to heat anymore. And even
saying that 90 is considered HOT is weird.... It’s cool having Elder
Malau'Ulu as my Zone Leader is awesome!! In fact later today we are going
to play some basketball, which I am stoked for!!!!! OH!!! Something also
kind of interesting about this area is that this area is one of the areas
where Kyle Black served. Many people here still remember him and ask about
how he is doing. If Kyle see's this or someone see's him tell him that "The
Keplers want to know how he is doing." Well, that's all I got! I am really
excited to get this area going again! :) I love you all and can't wait for
 your letters.

 Love,

Elder Rash
