Week 12 - Life Lessons and Service

Hey everyone!!!!!

Happy Monday!!! :) I think only Missionaries and their families like Mondays! ;) This week was GREAT!!!!! Conference was so inspiring and uplifting!!! We had a lot of amazing experiences and I'll try to share some of them :)

This week we had a ton of opportunities to do service!!! We mowed lawns, helped people move, and took out tons of trash!! We promised two investigators we'd help them move and totally forgot about it... until the morning of!!! It was up to me to find helpers, a truck, trailer, and transportation for everyone, and I only had 2 hours!!!!! I called everyone and their mother and NO luck... I was getting nervous and desperate. So I decided to say a prayer. I asked my Father in Heaven for help and guidance, I asked for a miracle. I felt impressed to call a senior couple set of missionaries in my area. I had tried them earlier and couldn't get a hold of them. I called, and they picked up!!! They said they'd be more than willing to help!!! They had a truck AND a trailer that we could use!!!! Then I called other elders for help! Within the hour I had 8 missionaries ready to help!!!! It was incredible!!! We loaded up all their stuff and headed to their new apartment.... On the 4th floor.... With a broken elevator.... We finally got it all done and they thanked us tons. We then took a much appreciated lunch break! :) I know that Heavenly Father answers prays!!!

We had a lot of appointments that fell through this week. It’s discouraging but we reschedule and pray! Conference was this week! I don't need to tell you how amazing it is, BUT it IS AMAZING!!!!! Two of our investigators, Micheal and Zack, actually WENT to conference! And had great seats down by the front!!! :) They loved every minute of it! Everyone can get something out of General Conference.

We had interviews with the Mission President this week. They went really well :) We had a good talk and I asked him, what are some things I can do so that I can be a better missionary? This is what he told me....

"Be an expert in the fundamentals"

"Hand out Book of Mormons all the time"

"Coordinate with the Ward Mission Leader"

"BE OBEDIENT"

And you will have success. So we are working had to do all those things :) I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church that Christ established when he was on the Earth. If anyone has doubts about that I invite you to pray to your Father in Heaven with a sincere heart, with real intent. He will never lead you astray. I love you all and I look forward to your comments. Please let me know if there is anything you want me to add to my letters or anything you want to know more about.

Love,

Elder Rash

Who knows who this person is with Elder Rash. If Elder Rash would identify the people in pictures when he sends them home then we all would be able to know.

  1. This is Brother Casagrande! He is a member who takes us anywhere and everywhere we need to be. He drives a Hummer and we are the coolest missionaries whenever we pull up in a Hummer! He took us out to Wendys that day so we took a picture. Yep WENDYS the perks of having a state side mission. ;)
