Hey Family,
This week was a great week with General Conference and watching Meet the Mormons!
On Monday last week we played football with some other missionaries. It was awesome because the field was all soaked and muddy and it was cold! It was so cool! My 10 seconds of fame was when the offense threw a pass and it bounced off the catchers shoe and I intercepted it and ran it back! It was sick! But then it was intercepted again... so all that luck and hard work went for nothing. After that we went and worked out with a less active member! He's super cool and has a private gym in his downstairs. Our next P day we went bowling! This was a ton of fun!
1. Did you get the phone card from Nanny?
No I did not. I haven't gotten any mail recently.
2. Why do you think you want to be a lawyer or police officer?
I want to be a Lawyer or Police Officer because I really want to help other people and make them feel safe. As a DA or Police officer I get to do just that. Ever since I was young I always wanted to be in the Criminal Justice field and every time I research it or learn more my desire increases.
3. Tell us about Elder Wauneka?
Elder Wauneka is from Window Rock. He was the Quarter Back for MCC Thunderbirds before his mission. His Step dad just got baptized a couple weeks ago which is awesome. Growing up he wasn't very active but his friends started taking the discussions and he went out with the missionaries and felt like he should go. He's really cool and likes to work out. This is good for me too! :) haha
4. Give us an update on all your investigators?
We are teaching quite a few people.
Cindy and Shae- Shae are still prepping for baptism. We haven't met with them in a while so we need to go over this week.
Nathan and Matthew- These are new investigators that are over aged youth. They are solid and have been coming to church.
Jessie- Jessie is 9 and he is being taken to church by his neighbors. It’s hard for him to focus but we are having FHE with them tonight.
Laurie- Laurie is still working on Quitting smoking.
Maglios- The maglios are doing well and are coming to church more now/
Harmony- Harmony came to church and is making friends in the ward. She really enjoyed it and her family is doing well.
Seth- We visited with Seth this week about making good choices. He is still as rambunctious as ever!
Patty- We haven't seen her in a while so we are going over this week to visit with her.
Vermillions- The Vermillion Kids are doing well. We go over and visit with them every week. they are great kids!
Lacey- She fell this week and messed up her back. We are going to have to reset her date.
Pursers- We met them last week. They are a great family. Super funny. Not ready to make any changes, at least the parents, but will allow us to come teach.
5. What talk was your favorite from conference and why?
Elder Cooks talk and Lynn g Robbins talk were awesome!
Well I love you guys and hope everything is going well.
Love
Elder Rash
