Week 82: SUPER BUSY!!!!!

Dear Family and Friends,

This week has been SUPER BUSY! This was literally the busiest week of my whole mission! Elder Merkley and I have been working super hard in our area as well as striving to help and strengthen all the missionaries in our Zone.

Last Monday we played tons of Basketball and Volleyball and all sorts of fun games. It’s been really nice to relieve stress by just working really hard then playing really hard on Mondays. Elder Merkley and I get along really well.

Like I said, we've been really busy! So on Tuesday we had what's called Zone Training where The Zone Leaders and Sister Trainer Leaders give training's about what we learned in our Mission Leadership Counsel. It was a really good and the Assistants even showed up. So that took up a lot of the day then we went out and Proselyted and met tons of investigators and non members.

Yvonne: She is doing really well. She did however slip up and smoke but she immediately knew what she had to do and are recommitted to being baptized.

Laurie: We had a special fast with Laurie to help her overcome her Smoking and help her be baptized. She is coming to church every Sunday.

Amy: We met with her for the first time on Friday and she really wants to be baptized. It was a really good lesson.

Patty: Came to church this week and we met with her and taught about the restoration and how we can overcome trials and struggles.

Jesse: He is nine years old and has two LA parents. We took them on a Church Tour and set a date with him for September 20. They also came to Church!

Miles: He is a new investigator that is getting baptized on the 23rd. His dad is active and his mom is Inactive. He really wants to get baptized and is coming to church every Sunday.

So every night missionaries have about an hour to relax and prepare for bed. As a zone leader... you don't get that time, that time is spent on the phone, planning, and preparing for meetings and stuff like that. By the time we get done with everything at night it is 10:30and lights out.

But I really enjoy being able to serve and help other missionaries! It’s been raining a ton this past week. Every day and around 3 or 4 it would downpour!!! We always got caught outside! And Elder Merkley being from Washington loves to walk in the rain. So there were a lot of days when we'd be soaked! It was a lot of fun though!

So we also had a service opportunity this week. It was called the Bill Parrish 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Bill Parrish and his family passed away about a year ago from Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Their family put on this Tournament as a charity to make Carbon Monoxide awareness a more prominent in the community. So we went to be refs and Score keepers. It was really fun... until about half way through when again... it started to down pour with lightning and thunder. So they had to cancel it for that day and we went home... again... soaked.

But all in all it was a great week! We are looking forward to a lot of fun stuff this week!

I love you guys and keep up the good member missionary work!

Love
Elder Rash
