Happy Monday!!!! :) While
all of you are back to school and work, today is my day off :) :) :) Not to rub
it in your faces or anything ;) hahaha This week has been crazy busy!!!! I'll
try to go over some highlights....
This week we had MOTHERS
DAY!!!!! All the missionaries get to call home and Skype with their mommas!!!
So that's what I did! It was great to see all my family as they got ready for
dinner :) My family is still the exact same weird, crazy, LOUD, family I
remember and love :) And of course... My mother bawled like a baby when I first
came on the screen ;) hahaha Most people were worried that talking to your
family makes you homesick. Not me, because I still am home! Hahaha Idaho is my
home! Seeing my family fired me up and I'm ready to take on the world! or at
least Southern Idaho Falls ;)
Sadly, This week Jeszyka
did not get baptized. We realized some things that we hadn't gone over with her
and it was getting too close for comfort with her baptism drawing near. So we
talked to her and she needs to process it all so we postponed for the time
being. No worries though. She is still awesome!!!!! :) She has even asked that
I, Elder Caleb Rash, be the one to baptize her!!! :) :) :) I'm so excited for
her!!!!!
Michael is doing well as
well!!!! He is solid and is just trying to help Jeszyka get baptized. He cares
so much about others he forgets about himself sometimes! hahaha
We have more investigators falling
into our laps everyday!!!! I'll begin talking about them as I know more. We've
had 3 new people come to us that we've only met with once.
This week, we've had
MULTIPLE opportunities to do service! We helped, the Hammons collect some scrap
wood, We mowed a HUGE lawn (with a semi broken lawn mower... always fun) and
tons of other fun stuff ;)
I also went on exchanges
with my Spanish District Leader. Again I got to break out my Spanish! I used
words I didn't even know I knew!!!! AND I understood most of what was being
said!!!! it was so cool! My DL would always lean over and tell me what they
were talking about and I was like "Bro.... I got this!" hahaha He
would every now and again ask me to teach a principle of the Gospel in Spanish.
I was So nervous!!!! I would say stuff like "Jesus died for our sins"
or "Pecados es muy mal!!!" AKA Sin is very bad!!! hahaha maybe I
couldn't convert someone off of that BUT it gets the point across! And he also
let me drive! Which I haven't done in a while so I was nervous but it’s like
riding a bike. Soon I was driving with no hands!!!!! (JUST KIDDING MOM!!!!)
Well besides that I don't
have much to report. I got a hair cut today at sports clips! That place is
awesome! I got a scalp massage and they used this shampoo that tingles! :)
hahaha Highlight of my day so far! ;) I pray for you all and hope all is well!
Love Always,
Elder Rash
