Week 56: Criminal Camel Comes to Courthouse

Dear Family and Friends

OK, first off let me apologize for my short letter last week. I was being rushed by some other missionaries that don't have respect for my mother’s sanity... BUT hopefully this week will be better! So this week we stayed real busy! Even with the BITTER cold and snowy weather, AND we were on foot because the sisters took the car last week... but I’m not bitter... hahah
So this week we did our normal P day activities, we played basketball and played the guitar and tons of fun stuff! Then we had some appointments that night that went really well!

Gary and Krystie are doing great! They are pushing through Krystie's surgery and have been coming to church every week. We still haven't been able to meet with them too much because she gets dizzy and tired easily. But we are hoping that she begins to get more energy and we can set a baptismal date with them and their daughter.

Well this past Tuesday we had our usual district meeting which is always fun! As we and our Zone Leaders were leaving we saw a Police Car that had gotten stuck in an Icy ditch by the Church. Missionaries to the Rescue! With our help we were able to push the car out of the ditch. Apparently the Rookie Driver had been not paying attention and had slipped into the ditch. You could see the relief on his face at not having to call in back up to get he and his companion unstuck.

We met with Wes twice this week. Once on Monday for FHE with the Smiths, Elder Smith's Family, then we had a Cottage Talk with a member who invited some non members and Wes came and showed up!
This week we also had a Missionary Fireside, which all the missionaries in Blackfoot put on for Investigators and less actives, and pretty much whoever wanted to come. President and Sister Brinkerhoff came and spoke at it. It was a great experience and I got to lead the music!

To save money for other missionaries I’ve taken up cutting hair. I cut Elder Cooley's hair (picture below) and also Elder Nielsons. It's a lot of fun and I’m pretty decent at it. I bought some clippers and watched some hair stylist do some work and now I can cut hair without making it look terrible.
The Camel has been on some adventures this week. He climbed the Blackfoot water tower... but then got caught by the cops and had to go to the Bingham County Courthouse! He was put on trial but the case was dismissed on account of the Camel bribing the Judge.... Oh the injustice!!! That little camel is quickly making his way up in the Criminal world... I've tried to straighten him out... but he's as stubborn as a Camel..... I even resorted to the "Scared Straight" program... to no avail....

Well that's all for today folks! I hope this letter will suffice for my mom... because I think she is the only one who cares about the length of these! But I love her still. :)
I love you guys and hope for the best!

Love
