Its official....Caleb is now Elder Rash

Caleb was set apart tonight as a fulltime missionary by President Decker. This was a very special meeting for our family. Caleb also had two special friends that he asked to come and be with us. Emily and Katelyn thank you for being there and for being great friends to Caleb. After getting his last hugs from Emily and Katelyn, President Decker went around the room and had each person present share a special insight or word of advice for Caleb as he leaves for the next 2 years. Tears flowed as special thoughts and advice were shared. Then Caleb was given some time to share with us words of wisdom and he emphasized the importance of each of us doing missionary work to bless the lives of others. He was then set apart by President Decker. He was given some amazing blessings as the mantle of a missionary was placed upon him. The Spirit was very strong. Caleb will be departing for the MTC early in the morning. We will be seeing him off at the airport and His Uncle Reese and Aunt Melissa will meet him in Salt Lake for lunch and deliver him safely to the MTC. I expect that we will not get our first letter from Elder Rash until early next week. For those of you who would like to write Caleb while he is in the MTC here is his address:

Elder Caleb Rash
MTC Mailbox #334
ID-POC 0205
2005 N. 900 E.
Provo, UT 84604-1793

As Caleb's dad, I want to thank all of the family members, Caleb's good friends, ward family members, and Caleb's young men's leaders that have helped to shape, mold, and sometimes pound Caleb into the great man he has become. You have been a great example to him. Mistie and I again thank you. This mission will now refine and polish him and in a short two years a lucky young woman will be blessed with a very fine gem!

Our next posting will be from Elder Rash...Stay Tuned for the adventure!
